The DMfit catalogue describes air and vacuum uses for selected series. Selection requires checking the component part number and associated tubing: a connection suitable for water is not automatically suitable for every pneumatic circuit.
Compressed air
Define operating pressure, peaks, temperature and air quality. Specify any oil or condensate because these substances may contact the tubing and seal. Check the tube route to limit twisting, vibration and loads on the fitting.
Vacuum
For a vacuum line, specify the required vacuum level and how it is expressed: absolute pressure and gauge pressure are different measurements. Tubing must be suitable for the line conditions. A water-pressure leak test alone does not demonstrate the behaviour of the assembly under vacuum.
Automation, condensate and misting
Before selecting a connection for equipment, identify the exact installation point. Condensate circuits may carry residues; misting systems operate at different pressures depending on technology. Do not extend general industrial suitability to high-pressure systems.
Pools, spas and marine environments
Assess water composition, disinfectants and external conditions. Compatibility with water does not establish compatibility with concentrated pool-treatment chemicals. For marine installations, distinguish the internal fluid from external exposure and request assessment of the relevant materials.

- Line function and actual fluid.
- Required pressure or vacuum and temperature.
- Tube diameter and material.
- Vibration, cycles and installation environment.
- Fitting part number and equipment requirements.
For gases and special processes, obtain technical confirmation of the configuration before use.
