The maximum pressure of a DMfit system is not a single rating for the entire range. It depends on product, size and temperature. Read the pressure-temperature pair for the selected component and check the tubing and all other circuit elements.
Why temperature matters
A room-temperature rating cannot automatically be applied to hot water. The DMfit catalogue lists different limits for different conditions, and general precautions state that 65 °C must not be exceeded. Special applications require a specification applicable to the part number; do not derive operating limits from material declarations alone.
Example: stop and faucet adaptor valves
The DMfit stop and faucet adaptor valve page gives 12 bar at 20 °C and 6 bar at 65 °C. This illustrates why pressure must be paired with temperature; it is not a universal table for all fittings, filters or flow controls.
Which limit applies to the system?
Compare actual conditions against permitted conditions for each fitting, tube, valve, filter and piece of equipment. The complete line must meet every applicable limit. Include pump-start pressure peaks, valve closures and thermal cycles in the assessment.

- Operating pressure and possible peaks.
- Fluid and ambient temperature, including cleaning cycles.
- Continuous or intermittent operation.
- Tube diameter, material and wall thickness.
- Fluid and application-specific requirements.
Does food-contact approval increase the temperature rating?
No. A temperature stated for food-contact assessment is not automatically the mechanical operating temperature of a pressurised fitting. These requirements must be checked separately and both respected.
