DMfit push-in connections can be selected for water and beverage circuits in dispensers and vending equipment, according to the series and specified conditions. Push-in assembly helps with installation and access to components during maintenance.
Coffee machines: distinguish the circuits
The incoming water line does not necessarily operate under the same conditions as the internal hot-water circuit. Do not extend the suitability of an inlet fitting to a boiler, steam line or high-temperature dispensing circuit. Check pump pressure, maximum temperature and the equipment specification for the installation point.
Water, soft drinks and ingredients
A beverage circuit may carry water, finished drinks or concentrated ingredients. Specify the actual fluid: acidity, alcohol, flavourings and cleaning agents can affect compatibility. The term “food grade” does not describe every operating condition.
Alcoholic drinks
The DMT Food Regulation declaration dated 17 April 2025 excludes products containing 15% or more alcohol from its stated food-contact conditions. Such drinks require a specific assessment; do not automatically extend the declaration to spirits or alcoholic concentrates. Catalogue mechanical pressure and temperature limits still apply.
Planning maintenance
- Identify each tube and keep fittings and valves accessible.
- Select sizes without confusing tube diameter and thread designation.
- Avoid pulling on connections when removing filters or pumps.
- Check cleaning chemicals and sanitation-cycle temperatures.
- Inspect for leaks after service.
For vending machines, coolers and ice makers, select each component using the equipment specification and applicable DMfit documentation.
