When selecting a DMfit connection for potable water or food, verify the documentation relevant to the configuration. A logo or general declaration is a starting point: scope, materials, conditions of use and any document validity also matter.

Where to start

The DMfit catalogue and certifications page (Italian) refer to NSF, FDA, WRAS and ISO management systems. These references serve different purposes and are not interchangeable.

  • Product or material: check which items or components are covered.
  • Food contact or potable water: check the stated use and conditions.
  • Management system: an organisational ISO reference does not replace assessment of an individual fitting.

Available declarations

Documentation supplied by DMfit includes a DMT Food Regulation declaration dated 17 April 2025 and declarations concerning bisphenols, RoHS and POPs. For a specific supply, request the current document applicable to the purchased materials and part numbers. RoHS and POPs declarations do not replace food-contact documentation.

Material temperature and fitting temperature

A declaration may state temperatures used to assess a material in contact with food. Those values do not automatically increase the operating temperature of a pressurised fitting: the mechanical specifications of the fitting and tubing still apply.

What to request before ordering

  1. Part number and variant description.
  2. Body, O-ring and tubing materials.
  3. Applicable document and issue or expiry date, where relevant.
  4. Permitted fluid and contact conditions.
  5. Confirmation that the documented scope matches the intended use.

Keeping documentation with supply references supports traceability and later technical checks.
